A love triangle where all three sides are in love with each other.
A love triangle that slowly but surely all fall in love at the same time, with complications and hardships, yes, of course, but in the end love conquers all.
A love triangle where all three of them support each other, hold each other up on bad days; a truly healthy relationship of mutual trust between three young people.
A love triangle that ends in blissful polyamory.

Polyamory that everyone except the three of them saw coming because ‘of course the three of you were going to get together, you were all too in love not to see the obvious solution eventually’.
Real love triangles between three girls or three guys, two girls and a guy, two guys and a girl, trans and non-binary and genderfluid people.
Real love triangles between People of Colour (we’ve all had enough of white-only romances).
Real love triangles that don’t just involve two angsty white boys fighting over the attention of an ‘unconventionally attractive’ white female protagonist. Why not at least have the boys be in love with each other too?
Real love triangles that pretend to be your average fare and twist surprisingly into all three of them getting together.
Real love triangles that are unapologetically different from the start.

Real. Love. Triangles.

Because dammit, a triangle has three sides. That means three people must be in love, platonically or not. What you’d otherwise think of is an arrow head at best, and without the third side all the love is escaping the triangle faster than competitive love can turn deadly and dark.

So please, write real love triangles.
