You live in a world where animals have the same base intelligence as humans, and are treated as equals. Although they cannot speak English, they have helped humans invent and discover things that would have taken years, such as the cure to cancer and possible evidence of alien life. Your dog is the only animal in to world to act like an animal should before they mentally evolved. One day, you look out the window and see a bunch of people getting out of a van with words on the side in a language you can’t read, and they start walking up to your door. You look over to your dog, who suddenly looks terrified. She looks straight in your eyes and says, in a completely human voice, “We have to get out of here.”
