submission: Why does it take arguably the two most powerful Miraculous just to fight Hawkmoth’s Akuma?

Because the Butterfly Miraculous is the only one that is specifically for combat. In a full team of Miraculous users, the Butterfly’s chosen would be the only one to directly fight the threat, while the others provide support, help evacuate/protect civilians, and clean-up the damage. That Ladybug (clean-up) and Chat Noir (support) are able to defeat the combat oriented Akumas is a testament to their ability.
